Learning Objectives

By the end of this 2-day Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) training program, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the fundamental principles of voltage regulation and the role of AVR in power generation and electrical systems.
  2. Identify different types of AVRs (static, digital, brushless, self-excited, separately excited) and their applications.
  3. Understand the components and control loops of an AVR system, including sensing, control, excitation, and feedback mechanisms.
